This handsome boy has quite the journey to share. Miles began his life in a Georgia kill facility, was saved by a rescue, adopted, rehomed, and then somehow found himself outside in a feral colony right here in Great Falls. Luckily, the Pet Paw-See stepped in, and Miles is finally safe and loved.
At approximately 4–5 years old, Miles is a survivor. He’s FIV-positive and had to have all his teeth removed due to a severe mouth infection, but that hasn’t slowed him down one bit—he eats just fine and still enjoys every meal.
What You Should Know About FIV:
– **FIV Positive**: Miles’s condition affects his immune system, making him more susceptible to infections. However, with regular vet check-ups, a healthy diet, and a stress-free indoor environment, he can thrive just like any other cat.
– **Transmission**: FIV is mainly transmitted through deep bite wounds which isn’t a worry with this toothless guy. It’s not spread through casual contact like sharing food bowls, grooming, or snuggling.
– **Living with FIV**: Many FIV-positive cats live long, fulfilling lives. Miles will need an indoor-only home to protect his health and prevent the spread of FIV to other cats.
Sweet, resilient, and full of love, Miles is ready to meet his forever family. Could you be the happy ending to his long journey? Currently in foster home, contact us to meet this amazing cat.
