Dorian Gray is a beautiful gray kitten with a story of resilience and quiet courage. He came from a TNR project in another town, where caregivers noticed he had a badly injured back leg. Because returning him to the colony would not have been safe, a life-changing decision was made on his behalf.
Dorian was brought to Great Falls, where a veterinarian determined that his injured leg could not be saved. He bravely underwent amputation surgery and faced it with remarkable strength and grace. Like many tripod kittens, he is expected to adapt well and go on to live a full, happy lifeājust on three legs instead of four.
Dorian is currently in a foster home, where he is safe and healing, but he is still very scared. Due to his rough start, he may always be a somewhat timid boy. He will need a calm, patient household that understands shy cats and is willing to let him move at his own pace. A home with someone experienced with tripod cats is strongly preferred, as they will best understand his physical and emotional needs.
For the safety of both Dorian and young children, we are seeking a home without children under the age of six. If you have a quiet home, a gentle heart, and experience with special-needs or tripod cats, Dorian Gray could be the perfect little soul to add to your life.
