Smitten by this Squitten Kitten
Lisa is a beautiful tortoiseshell calico with a heart as sweet as her markings. She was found nestled in the grass near a local bar, hoping someone would notice her — and thankfully, someone did.
Lisa is what we affectionately call a squitten — a special cat with short or slightly curved front legs that make her look like a tiny squirrel when she sits upright. The scientific term for her condition is radial hypoplasia (underdeveloped radius bones), though similar forms are known as foreleg micromelia, radial aplasia, or radial agenesis. Despite the fancy names, Lisa doesn’t let it slow her down one bit!
She is currently in a loving foster home where she plays with her foster sister kitten just like any other kitten — chasing toys, pouncing, and enjoying every moment of her young life. Cats like Lisa benefit from soft carpet or rugs that give them a little extra traction, helping them move and play comfortably.
Lisa is ready to find a loving home that will cherish her for the wonderful, resilient sweetheart she is.
No adopters with children under the age of six for the safety of both the kitten and the child.
